Deb and I were googling at Petals beautiful wax teasers a while back, anticipating her autumn opening. I fell behind and ordered way too late in the game but I did snag two little tarts.
This 1.5 ounce tart composed of a soft wax similar to Glitterati, is scented in Pumpkin Cheesecake. The aroma wafts off of this cuteness in the form of a pumpkin pie, lightly spiced and topped with a dab of Cool Whip.
I knew better than to grab this one, but I did. Venom houses a tart Bite Me blend that seems to mix berries and sour lemonade with a fizzy pop component. I have only found one berry/cherry lemonade that I can handle, unfortunately, this one is not it. But Deb likes this blend so I KNEW there was a reason I ordered it! Not for me, but for a friend :-)
Free samples: Tiny wax heart in Pink Sugar (awesome!), soap slivers in Venom (Debs!) and The Great Pumpkin (wonderful pun'kin scent).
Adam's folks are driving up to visit us this weekend and take the girls to see Boxtrolls. I am taking my camera in to have its sensor cleaned. I am also going to try and sew some last minute dresses for my girls to wear during their "mystical" photo-shoot on Sunday evening (involves handmade real flower chain crowns and the tee-pee I constructed). I am also shopping around for some plantation shutters. Ridiculously excited about that one. My husband gives me the best incentive to price them out. He hands me funds, says I can keep what I don't spend. I love that man.
I've seen those shutters a few times in the Southwest (and your kitchen) and always thought they were cool looking but didn't know they had a name. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteMy in laws always put them in their homes and I love them. They are so much easier to maintain than regular blinds. I just need to shop around :-)
DeleteSuch cute little tarts!! I have never heard of this company, have you melted anything from them before? I'm always a sucker for Halloween themed stuff! Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. A photo shoot with flower crowns and a teepee sounds like something I would want to do with my future children!! So adorable! My life has been so crazy busy lately that I've barely had time to breathe - but in a good way! Another wedding this weekend and off to New Orleans next week! Have a great weekend Julie <3
ReplyDeleteNew Orleans?! Are you going with Dana? I hope y'all have fun! After having read tons of Anne Rice books in my distant past, I have dreamed of walking around their old Garden District. I hope the wedding is beautiful and NOLA is even more so! Good to see you my friend!!! Xoxo
DeleteI have not melted my Petals tarts yet. I hope they are strong, but I'm not too worried if they're not because wax isn't her main focus. I had really wanted the Caramel Pecan one she had but it was sold out by the time I got to the checkout.

Yes I agree. I don't usually shop Petals for tarts :-) Her soaps are very good. But I am happy to melt this cheerful pumpkin soon! Hope you like Venom!
DeleteOh those are so cute! Sorry the Venom one didn't work out but at least the pumpkin one sounds good!
ReplyDeleteHope y'all had a fun visit with your in laws! :-)
I knew I was gambling. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes not. Either way I am happy :-) i ended up putting the pumpkin one in my sister's college care package. A little homey festivity to brighten up her room on those chilly Gainesville evenings.
DeleteWe had a great weekend. Very nice. Savanna cried to see them go. :-(
Love those tarts! That skull is just too cute. Pink sugar soap?! Count me in!
ReplyDeleteI love Adam's incentive, lol! What a great hubby! <3
Oh, and how did the girls like the movie? And how was your visit with the in-laws?
ReplyDeleteThey are really cute! Pink sugar and peppermint, in that way we are scent twins <3
DeleteThe girls lived the movie!!! Scarlette didn't find it scary at all which is a relief. The visit was really nice. The weekend was relaxing and beautiful.
