This Green Fun bursting with lime and citrus fruity celebration came my way via Liz from Furianne. We swapped boxes not too long ago and she generously included some of her Lush Boxing Day haul. The girls barely let me have this chunk of play-doh soap long enough to squeeze a creature out of it. Which I was determined to do.
The girls lurked right out of the frame jumping up and down, fingers itching to get in the tub with it.
While this was sitting on the computer desk, I walked in on Adam one day to sniffing it. He caught me watching him and said "This smells pretty good!" My citrus fella. It does in fact, smell pretty good. It reminds me of lemon lime candy, such as Now and Laters. It lathers and bubbles great as a soap, but probably not well enough to be a bubble bar. The girls love it, I love it, we are happy.
Have you tried Lush Fun? What do you think?
Cool! I might try a DIY version since the list of ingredients is short and sweet! I have some glycerin and SLSA.
ReplyDeleteDYI Fun sounds like a great idea!! If you like how it turns out, will you post it or pass it on to me? I think the girls would like a set of rainbow colors for Christmas. <3
DeleteHope you are having a nice Sunday!
I found a couple recipes. I will keep you posted. This looks straightforward but I will play around too. The ingredients Lush uses are inexpensive, I have 16 oz of glycerine and 16 oz of SLS, together they were $7.
DeleteOh wow! That is affordable. Do you buy the supplies online? Are there brick and morter stores?
DeleteI bought them online from here. SLES is the lowest right now, shipping is $13 so I got some things for other possible projects. They have salts :D
Deletep.s. this is where Moonalisa gets conditioner also. If I ever started a bath and body company I might have to move to the Northwest, it is where a few of the large suppliers are.
DeleteThank you!!! A trip to the PNW would be fun anyway. I hear it is gorgeous.
DeleteI almost picked this up my last lush trip! they had the snowman Kit one.. but I was hesitant. glad to hear it's a good product. Maybe the Easter bunny will pop some in our baskets this year! ;)
ReplyDeleteI bet the snowman one would have been fun! Oh! Easter Baskets!!! Great idea Ash! I will do that!
DeleteThis looks pretty cool! Of my girls, my youngest is the one who loves baths & would enjoy this the most! :-)
ReplyDeleteI bet she would! I even had fun making shapes and tinkering around with it. Like Ashley said, great Easter basket fodder!
DeleteMmmmmmmmmmmmm, citrus....So cool you made it into a dinosaur for the girls! Looks like they enjoyed it. :)
ReplyDeleteYezzzzz!!!!! If Adam likes it, it has to be good. He hardly ever says anything smells good. I had fun making the dino :-) The girls used it again last night.
