Lush Life: Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb

Shoot For The Stars was one of the bath bombs in the Reindeer Gift Box Adam bought me for Christmas this past year. This huge bath bomb is scented with Lush's ever popular Honey I Washed The Kids fragrance.

The bomb initially swirled navy blue, then a bright pink inner core appeared along with pink floating stars shapes and sliver glitter. The finishing hue came to be a deep violet indigo that smelled faintly of powdery toffee and honey musk. It was a pleasant bath indeed, but I probably would not reach for this in the store if I was out to buy bath bombs under my own steam.

Adam was not happy about the silver silt in the bottom of the tub or stuck all over my body either. But it washed away easily (from the tub) not my body so much. Have you had this one? Bathe with anything fun lately?

  1. what a pretty bath bomb! I used my northern lights bath bomb and it was AMAZING!! the purple and blue speckles came out first.. followed by bright yellow on one side and hot pink on the other... very wispy.. just like the northern lights. I need to go buy another!! lol... and my tub was only slightly pink/purple afterwards! lol

    1. It was pretty!! Northern Lights is coming up next here in the Lush line up. Your description sounds fantastic!! I think I will enjoy the scent more of NL than I did this one. I have Lied if Misrule too but I keep putting that one off as I KNOW I will adore it!!

  2. Ooh, it looks like the night sky with a psychedelic-looking Milky Way. Gorgeous!!

I tried using scented oils in my bath yesterday for the first time. I have some lightly-scented bottles that have been in my closet for a few years and figured I should put them to use...I probably poured more in than I needed to but I felt good when I get out. :-)

    1. Perfume oils in the bath are nice! I have used samples that way before with nice subtle results. Hope your week has started out well!

    1. Do you enjoy baths? I know some folks don't. When we go to Lush one day I want you to pick out one and I will get it for you.

    2. You're too sweet! I do enjoy baths! I try to make time for a relaxing bath at least once a week! That was one of the reasons I picked our house model when we decided to build -- a bigger bathtub! :-)
