Rosegirls: Store Haul

My dear friend and fellow blogger visited the Rosegirls' store near her home and did some shopping for a few of us recently. Participating in a store run excites me as you never know what will be in stock. It's a bit like playing the lottery without the risk. Because no matter what... you know there will be something good in stock.

I ended up not getting as much as I thought I would since there weren't any pies in stock, but no biggie. I still got some amazing scents!

Twister- A blend of Sweet Tea and Ginger, this one throws strong and authentic. The ginger almost lends it a lemony note and keeps the sugared tea from being too syrupy (although that is most Southerners' delight).

Orange You Ready For School?- Not sure if this is the same as "Back to School" in the Mini Melters, but I am going to guess it is, as "Back to School" notes are: citrus, bakery, spice, and pumpkin notes in an Indian Summer scent. The orange and pumpkin make for interesting wax mates and the bakery and spice notes are really tame.

Olive You- A secret house blend that has lots of waxy fans swooning. I can see why. These chunks house a smooth fruity floral scent that smells a little tropical. Bird of Paradise, plumeria, passion fruit, and palm trees come to mind when I smell this. Since it is a secret blend, we may never know, but these are the scents that my mind conjures up. Regardless, it smells lovely!

Peppermint Sugar Cookie- Deb made a muffin in this blend and I loved it. Nice to have this lightly minty cookie back in my life. Strong on the crunchy vanilla cookie with a crushed peppermint freshness.

Cider Lane, Celtic Moonspice, and Smoothie- YUM! Apple caramel with some spice and lots of creamy vanilla. Crossing my eyes good.

Pumpkin Pecan Waffles and Butterbrickle- I bought a bag of this two openings ago (man time is flying) and it is just as rich and deep as I remember. This is one heavy duty comforting bakery. The kind that throws so well you can lean into it like a fluffy cloud of batter.

Vanilla Crunch Donuts- A well crafted vanilla bakery scent that brings to mind blondies and Cool Whip. Now I want to bake blondies.

Florida Key Lime Pie, Strawberry Rhubarb and Margarita- Rosegirls margarita is one of the best. So sour and limey. Add in some tart strawberry and creamy key lime pie and this is one zinger of a muffin!

Twilight Woods and November Rain- A scent built just for my nose. Fresh yet musky, ocean and woods. No hint of cleaner or detergent. Just a beautiful aroma.

Berry Lovely Smoothie- A wonderfully juicy and stellar blend of berries, lemon and marshmallow. I really need to remember to get more Berry Lovely in my next Rosegirls order if I can get one in. The is the cream of the crop.

Bayberry- I think I am going to save this for blending. The pine note is so strong as to be distracting on its own. But this does blend nicely with other scents.

Macintosh Madness Swizzle Sticks- I took a gamble on this as I am funny about Mac apples, but with the vanilla candy notes in Swizzle Sticks, it is just amazing.

Frosted Spearmint Taffy- A repurchase and a favorite of mine.

Rose Jam- A great dupe of the Lush fragrance. Sweet and lemony rose preserves. I am actually thinking of blending it with the bayberry.

Citrus Spruce Swizzle Sticks (x2)- My favorite of the piped hearts. The scents of Christmas. Plump orange pomanders, the Christmas tree, and sweet candy. Saving these for a special holiday occasion.

I am very thankful for this haul! It gets my gears turns for new blends and ideas for the next opening. Any guesses on when that might be? Another January 1st opening? Sooner? Later?

    1. You mean you didn't smell them?!?! You are supposed to sniff them all and collect your tax from each of the ones you like! I will set one aside for you. You like pumpkin and orange. Maybe you will like them together. It is different though.

  7. Olive You and Citrus Spruce Swizzle Sticks have me drooling!! One of my very favorite Christmas scents is Balsam and Citrus, which only CFTKR used to carry but now TDC does too and I'm absolutely thrilled!! There's something about pine and citrus together that's all kinds of right!
