Can you smell the fall?! I am so excited to be able to bust these autumnal goodies out! If there are any you are interested in getting reviewed in depth, please holler!

Even though I am ready for all things fall and apples and pumpkins... let me be real. It is still very much summer here in central Florida. Late summer flowers keep blooming, the copious rain storms have the Bahia grass growing knee high, and temps in the high 90's.

Heck. Even the emerald iridescent June bugs don't realize it is August. Beardie is eating well though. He loves fresh June bugs. Too bad he doesn't eat snakes...

Lasting Scent Candles posted recently about a fall opening. That got me excited for Black Pumpkin, Autumn Dreamin' and Lemon Ginger Snaps. The fall decorations are coming out of the attic this weekend. When you are setting up your autumn decorations?

  1. All the fall yumminess! I'll be getting my fall decorations out this weekend too. Fall is definitely here for us in Wisconsin. It's only been in the low to mid 60s the past few days, cloudy, chilly, breezy....fally!

    1. Your temps are making me want to head up your way for a respite. I am looking forward to seeing what you decide to display! Have the fall scents been melting or is it still a slow start? BOB!!!! <3

    2. I *FINALLY* finished the dang book, crying in bed last night. LOL Yeah, I cried again when they were all safe and happy in the sun and Percy's thoughts went back to a cozy cabin. *blurg*

I haven't melted since that first day because I worked the weekend. I'm getting over that cold I mentioned so I can't smell some things but I can smell the apple something or other tart I test sniffed this morning, so that's in the warmer now. I'm still feeling more of a candle urge though.

    3. I cried at the end again too. I am so glad we read those books! And what a great finale!

Hoping you continue to heal and that the smelly bugs come get you instead! Lol! Light up those candles!

  2. I am so darn excited about fall. I started melting fall stuff a few weeks ago, I just couldn't help myself! Favorites so far have been my BBW Pumpkin Coconut candle, CFTKR Pumpkin Festival, and LPL The Lodge. Looks like you've got some wonderful scents in the lineup, Rustic Lodge and anything with Honey Gingerbread are winners for sure! Our house should FINALLY be complete by mid-September, and I don't think I've ever been more excited to decorate for fall. Actually, it's kind of nerve wracking because I really have to decorate the whole house at the same time. I'd love to see a post with your fall decor for this year!! Have a good one Julie!

    1. I am telling ya, these pumpkin coconut combos are really getting me excited!!! I want some serious pumpkin gilligan blending to happen. I am excited for fall too friend!!!! I will look out for Pumpkin Festival. I have not tried that one. You know.... I replied to your house stuff in a different post! I am so sorry lol! My post work brain is startlingly slow. I got home. Made shake and bake pork chops, broccoli and biscuits and now I am in my pjs and totally vegged. All I want to do is re-read Jurassic Park and go to bed. #oldladylife

  3. I promised myself I would bust out my fall scents with you this week....then we hit a heat wave and it's 97 here and I'm hesitating. I think I'll transition slowly with some "Carnival" type scents first lol. After all, the fair is in town this week! That's perfect!

    1. A great plan Liz! Florida life tends to be heat wave after heat wave. It won't feel like fall until October at least. Maybe November. So I fake it with smells. Enjoy your caramel apple goodies! And have fun at the fair if you go! We haven't gone to a fair in ages.

  4. I love when you share your melts! I can't plan mine ahead like that. I wake up and decide then what I want to melt. I don't have any fall decorations, however, I've already started to pin to my Halloween board! I am getting majorly excited for Halloween. Fall is already here! It's been so cold and rainy and the leaves are changing and falling to the ground.

    1. Is fall in Alaska long? I bet it is lovely. I am looking forward to the cooler weather. It is just SO HOT here. Occasionally I will just pop into my wax stash and pick whatever, but mostly I am overwhelmed so it is easier for me to make a basket. One day my stash will be much smaller and easier to navigate :-)
