Melting Basket 50: Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I can't believe it is already here. Anywho, let's get this going. Wax tarts I would buy again form the last basket include: Mainstays Mulled Cider, LPL Spiced Pumpkin, CFTKR Spiced Apples & Peaches.

Super Tarts- Hocus Pocus <3 gift
The Bathing Garden- Poisoned Apothecary
The Bathing Garden- Belladonna Tincture
The Bathing Garden- Vampire Blood
The Bathing Garden- Mummy Mademoiselle <3 gift
Prairie Antiques- Country Bumpkin Look. I just couldn't bring myself to cut the cat. Imma try again.
Prairie Antiques- Witch's Brew
CFTKR- Full Moon
LSC- Blood Moon
LSC- Spooky Apparitions
LSC- Cobweb Cookies
LSC- Black Pumpkin
LSC- Spooky Brew

Spooky basket. Yeah, I will be melting these long past Halloween but I do not care. If you would like me to review any of these just holler. The Bathing Gardens and Prairie Antiques ones are still able to be purchased, I doubt the rest are.

Now that night time will emerge earlier in the day I am getting a hankering to take the girls to the local Silver Moon Drive-In. And go camping for the first time as a family. And light more fires in the pit. My imagination also wants me to learn how to knit, how to silversmith, and how to make perfume and soap.

Do you have creative urges? As night creeps earlier are you craving to do anything special? Anyone want to come teach me the ways of knitting, silversmithing, soaping and perfumery? I can pay in wax. Or cookies.

Happy Halloween! Stay safe and have fun whatever the moon pulls you to do!

  1. I can help you with the soap! I'll take payment in cookies since I might be done with wax. =(

I have way too many creative urges, and I never stick with any of them more than the initial rush of interest. It's REALLY starting to bug me now. I need to find SOMETHING to do!

    1. No more melting :-( maybe it is not related. I hope not. But cookies are good too. I would love for you to teach me.

Is the journaling/paper craft waning? I picked up something cute at Hobby Lobby for your paper crafting.

    2. The paper crafting is in limbo. I sort of did the rage quit thing before ever getting started again, but I just packed the stuff in a box and set it aside for now instead of getting rid of it like I usually do. I seem to keep coming back to the idea of paper craft type things, just can't seem to find WHAT to make though. I looked at a card that I'd started, that had sat for a week or so, and then hated it when I came back to it.

The journaling is off and on. I quit that too for a couple weeks, went back to it for a day, then gave up again when I packed my crafty stuff away.

    3. Glad you set it aside rather than unloading it. Your cards are cute and I enjoy the extra touches you do with washi. I hope you find a hobby you can enjoy. You have a knack for crafting.

    1. Hahahahaaa! I TRIED! I took him out of the bag and held him in the palm of my hands for a minute too long. Then I was done. Put him back in the bag. This time I will be ruthless. I will carve him up like he scratched up my favorite Coach purse and puked in my cat Vans. I can always buy another one right?

  3. LOL @ cut the cat! Are you a cat person? I am as you can tell from my attire today. :) I hope you enjoy all your amazing sounding fall meltings! I would love to learn to make bath & body goodies as well, but haven't attempted much beyond homemade body scrubs and face masks. Perfumes and soaps would be wonderful! I hope you get the opportunity to do that. I'm not a very good knitter, but I love crochet! I find it much easier. Have a great day!

    1. I am!!!! I love my real life cat, Toddles. And I have cat shoes, cardigans, spoons, purses, and such. There was a cat lipstick by Paul and Joe one year I wanted so bad! Lol! I want to make bath salts too. I crocheted in college but knitting a scarf really appeals to me for some reason. The tight weaving and patterns draw me. I hope you had a great day too!

  4. I'm with everyone else, cut the cat! It sounds like something farty, LOL. The drive-in! You know...as big of a movie fan as I am, I've never been to a drive-in! It's silly, but it's on my bucket list! Double feature, baby! <3

I would gladly test soaps and perfume for you. ;) (I started to write this sentence in spanish...I have no idea why....it's not even that early, LOL)
