Candles From the Keeping Room: Post-Thanksgiving Order

If you are a Candles From the Keeping Room fan, you KNOW what comes in a box decorated like this... wax tart nirvana.

I had missed the past few openings, my timing was off, but my persistence paid off and I got a hefty order in the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I went whole hog.

Pink Ombre Cake- I had a sample of this in the past and remember enjoying it. It smells sweet and a tad like sugared berries and moist cupcakes. Moist. A lot of people hate that word. But I am a big fan of moist cakes.

Caramel Latte- This was one of my typical flubs in the ordering frenzy. This was meant to be caramel spice, a scent I fell in love with that Lynda gifted me once. But the scroll bar landed on Caramel Latte and I did not realize it. I am not a coffee fan and this bag went to my coffee scent loving sister. It is a strong brewed, sweet coffee with a dash of Doritos puppy paws to me. My nose just throws a fit unless it is actual coffee brewing in the pot. I am sure it is a fabulous scent, as my sister went gaga over it.

Cinnamon Pumpkin Coffee Cake- Divine. Dense vanilla crumb cake topped with cinnamon crumbles. The pumpkin lends a deepness to the cake.

Amish Quilt- Classic cinnamon and spice comfort. True to life and a touch sweet.

Ice and Snow- I think this is a new scent for Carol. I love it! I get mint and pine and the great outdoors. It smells in a similar vein to Bath & Body Works Winter but I hesitate to call it a dupe because Winter has a heavy dose of campfire and Ice & Snow has a heavier dose of mint. Bottom line... it is gooood.

Tokyo Nights- So is this one. I love Tokyo Nights. To the moon and back. Yummy plummy musk. One of my Top 3 CFTKR scents easy peasy. Melt to get the full effect.

Purple Sage & Mint Leaf- The sage has been dried and hangs from the rafters of a cottage bound with twine. The mint hangs beside, its leaves crumbling to the dusty floor. Lovely, slightly astringent.

Juniper Berry & Cedar- The juniper is a touch screechy and the cedar sharp as a freshly pointed pencil. Utterly invigorating with its jolt of natural freshness.

Farmers Market Basket- A mellow and pleasing scent similar to Rustic Lodge, in that is features caramel apples. Here there is also sweet nectar.

Orange Clove- Heavily spiced oranges at their best. Festive and jolly as Santa's big belly.

Autumn in the Park- Another sweet mellow caramelized apple scent. A touch more leaves and sweet outdoor air.

Plumberry Spice- A Christmas favorite next to Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies. This scent is all about juicy berries, spices and Christmas trees.

Balsam & Citrus- AMAZING. I am head over heels for Balsam & Citrus. I would go as far to say that it beats out my beloved Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies and Plumberry Spice. But only by a hair. There is less spice and more oranges and evergreens. The citrus is so bright and cheerful while the balsam is mellow and sweet, not sharp and chemical laden like some can smell. In love.

Cranberry Cypress- This is a new one for me. I get a really concentrated cranberry juice, like the sweetened kind you get frozen in the cylinder and make holiday punch with. The cypress pulls through as a lovely musk. I like this.

Apple Jack & Peel- Look at the apple. I mean, look at it! I could fool someone into eating it, it looks so real. And boy does it pack a punch! The strongest blend of cinnamon and apple I have ever smelled. Bar none. But how can I melt it?!

Cinnamon & Spice- Yummy Red Hots. Yep.

Free samples! Carol was extremely generous as always! I did get a couple that were the same as my order so I am not including them.

Christmas trees bent over in a blizzard to me... mistletoe to my sister :-)

Pomelo Sage- Incredible. Soft sweet citrus and vanilla musk. Soothing, sensual and beautiful. Full bag worthy. Two bag worthy.

Lingonberry Wreath- Pomegranates and cranberries blended with strawberries and greenery. Lovely.

Popeyes Olive Oil- Lush Olive Branch dupe!!! Yea yuh! I love it!

Pistachio Pudding Cake- Super crazy strong cherry-almond. I know this is a cult classic but I just can't get on board with cherry-almond scents. Saving for Ashley who loves cherry!

Caramel Drizzled Marshmallow Sugar Cookie- Oh yum. I think this will be a hit. In the same structure as Ultimate Sugar Cookie. Ultra rich vanilla cookies.

Mulberry Noel- Fruity with a touch of cherry.

Just Sugar- This smells like a Lushie. Maybe Rockstar or Snow Fairy or one of those sweet pink types. I just can't pin point it as I typically am not a bubblegum sweet kinda gal.

Vanilla Pinecones- This one has potential! I do get a slightly waxy tone but I have a feeling it will burn off and bloom beautifully.

Stiletto Blonde- Hmmm... a fruity floral that feels like American Cream in its perfumy powderiness but isn't quite that scent.  Could pass for a Victoria Secret perfume like Bombshell.

English Marmalade- Spiced oranges, shares a lot in common with Orange Clove., but more of the bitterness from the rind that real marmalade embodies. I love it.

Wildberry Vanilla Sugar Waffle Cones- Yummy! Smells like a wonderfully strong fruity bakery. Like thumb print cookies with berry jam tucked into the center.

I need a coffee break after typing all this out. I tried to keep it short and sweet. I am going to do a giveaway of a Candles From the Keeping Room sampler. I will include some tarts from this order and from past orders. To enter, please comment below with what gift you are most excited to give for Christmas this year. I am looking forward to giving a few embroidered hoops to some loved ones. <3

The giveaway will end on Sunday the 13th.

  8. One of the gifts that I'm giving this year is a Squaty Potty for my Mom. She watched the commercial and died laughing. She was also intrigued by the purpose of it, so I thought it would be an amusing gift to give her this year.

If you have not seen the commercial here it is. https://youtu.be/YbYWhdLO43Q

Thank you for the lovely giveaway.

    1. Star Wars is a pretty amazing gift. I seriously need to sit down and watch all the films. I have caught bits and pieces here and there but never really watched with intention. Please don't take my geek card.
