Warmed Wax: CFTKR and Scoopable Tart Wax (RG)

CFTKR Cranberry Balsam- This oldie (bought last year) still had quite a nice solid medium throw. The balsam was more sweet than green, making for a cranberry punch type of fragrance. There was a tiny hint of trees but ultimately I would place this in the gourmand category. I enjoyed it and would probably purchase it again. Depends on my mood.

So I am not sure what to call Kathy's wax company. The website and such say Scoopable Tart Wax, but the containers say Rosegirls. What say you? What are you calling it? Anyway, Rosegirls Citrus & Spruce Swizzle Sticks is a great scent. The throw was about a medium-light, so I could use a bit more punch. The sugars totally sweeten this scent up and in the end it smells totally different than Carol's Citrus and Balsam. If you like lollipops more than Christmas trees then you would like Rosegirls' version more.

I however, prefer trees to lollipops so I pick CFTRK Citrus & Balsam over the other one. This fragrance still holds a nice sweetness but the freshness of the citrus really grabs me. The throw was about a medium. This is one of high ranking CFTKR scent favorites for sure. Repurchase every time.

I have a Haus of Gloi order to edit, some news about Olfactif and I and only two wax orders awaiting arrival: Sniff MY Tarts and Lasting Scent Candles. I hope to do a Christmas decor post, my wax stash post, and maybe a Best of 2015 wax/soap/scent post while I am home and off for Winter Break. Is there anything else you would like to see? How is your mid-December? I would love to stay and chat more but I REALLY need to get to wrapping gifts while the girls are at gymnastics. Have a beautiful day!

  1. I can never figure out what to call the scoopable wax either. Kathy's Wax? lol

My mid-December has settled down now after a brief rough patch. I'm actually opposite from you in that my shopping and wrapping were done early, and now I have nothing Christmas-y to do. I did this last year too and it's kinda boring, this middle of the month nothingness. Plus, our mild weather isn't doing much to build a Christmas mood either. I'm not *crabby* but I just don't have that 'Can't wait till Christmas!' excited feeling.

    1. Kathy's wax is perfect!

I totally get the conundrum. I feel behind if I leave it but not as excited if I do it all early. I still have lots of wrapping and baking. That will ride me over. I can send some wrapping your way >_<

  2. I looove warmed wax posts and reading your wonderful descriptions :) Thank you. Can not wait for your Christmas decor post, wax stash post (!), and possibly a Best of 2015 wax/soap/scent post.

Myself, I am waiting on two orders, also. Beezy and LSC. Can not wait!

Tomorrow (Sat) I am meeting Terri while she is in WA visiting family for Christmas. Hoping your weekend is filled with Christmas cheer! xox

    1. Thank you Lynda!!! I hope I can get those up this week. I am just so crazy right now. I need a good bubble bath and chill session.

How exciting for a wax friend meet up! I bet you ladies will have fun. I have been dying to visit the PacificNorthwest. One day it will be us meeting up. ;-)

      Merry Christmas my friend!

  3. Wax stash?? Sign me up! I love seeing how other people store their smelly goodness! I've been getting really into the blog scene again lately (NOT SURE IF YOU CAN TELL WITH 29 POSTS IN 19 DAYS @.@) but it has backfired in that it's released my trigger finger. I ended up getting in contact with Jennifer from L3 Waxy Wonders and seeing if she was able to ship one of her mystery lots to an APO address. She was very helpful and nice and before I knew it I upgraded what was originally going to be a medium to a large box.... In my defense, Michael said to go for it and that he would really like to get some sort of package for Christmas anyway. That broke my heart.
I'm stuck in a rut where I'm trying to enjoy my holidays but the weather isn't very Christmas-y and I'm also feeling guilty that Michael has to be all alone this time of year. He says it's not that big of a deal but I know he's really big on family so this has to be hurting him.

    1. Oh Liz. My heart is breaking :-( I hope it is the only Christmas you guys ever have to spend away from each other. And a little smelly wax therapy is totally justified. I am sure he will smell it and think of you. <3

I am kind of excited about doing my wax stash. Trying to decide if I will show IT ALL or just peek in the bins. Knowing me I will probably go whole hog.

I hope you have a nice Christmas with your family though. And you and Michael will be together in spirit. Maybe y'all can link up for an online game or something.

  4. YASSSS wax stash!!! All of your year end posts sound very exciting. Can't wait! I love lollipops and trees equally, so both pine/citrus scents sound lovely! But I don't see myself trying really hard to get the RG one because Balsam and Citrus is as close to perfection as I can imagine! I'm waiting on Beezy and that's it! Going to try really hard to make a dent in my wax in 2016. All I've been doing lately is burning candles. I did a tart yesterday for the first time in probably 2 weeks. Going to try really hard to melt this week, I have so much wonderful holiday wax!

    1. I took pics of the wax stash/storage yesterday and it is pretty much a down and dirty iPhone session. So no fancy shots or editing.

I bet you can get a nice dent in your wax stash next year. You have done really well in 2015, clearing it out! You can't have too much left. I am burning candles and melting this week. But only coordinating scents.
