I was struggling to pick a basket theme this week but my friend Liz helped me out and I am glad she suggested a "clean" scents basket. That is one of my most full drawers. No, these aren't all laundry scents but they do run more floral/fresh/herbal. Would someone like to suggest my next melting basket? Feel free to put in the comments what type of themed basket I should make after this one is melted. Or if you have any request for melted reviews on any scent in this basket comment that too.

My word for the year will be hope.

I hope:
- My best friend kicks cancer in the butt.
- My mom finds a faithful life partner.
- To continue making healthier choices for myself.
- Grace and mercy will flow out of me to others.
- It snows in North Carolina this weekend.
- To read all the books on my challenge.
- Ashley and my sister have easy labors and healthy babies.
- My waxy friends have the best year yet.
- My Dad enjoys this last year working for the railroad.
- Savanna has as easy a time as possible dipping her toes into puberty this year.
- Scarlette doesn't let me forget what really matters about her.
- That travel is always on the horizon.
- You continue to have hope yourself and know that good things are coming.

What word will be your 2016 anthem? How are you feeling about this year?

  1. Hmm.. I've spent a good 20-30 minutes contemplating a word for the year. When nothing seemed to fit right, I looked for some sort of song that would send the message that one single word can't. Because I have an answer, but it's not very coherent. It's just a feeling. It's best described as moving forward. Anti-stagnation. I want to move forward and I want those around me to be able to let go of the past, to not let it drag them down as they step forward into 2016. Freedom from old baggage. Renewal of a broken heart and soul for one person, rebuilding their body for another. I'm feeling very upbeat about this year!

If it's not too late I would love a review on LSC Pink Sheets, LSC Passionate, and CFTKR Tokyo Nights! This sounds like a lovely weeks of scents you're going to have!

    1. Movement forward is something worth striving for indeed. I love it. I found I have been stagnant in important areas of my life last year and I am thankful I have begun the slow and tedious but rewarding act of moving forward in them. I love your beautiful wording and wishes.

I did melt Pink Sheets the other night but I can still review it sans picture but the rest I have not melted yet and will do so just for you. <3

    2. Wow, Liz described me to a T...I am all three people combined. Grounded is going to be my word for 2016. Living in the now, as that is the doorway to reaching other goals for me.
