FuturePrimitive: Shadow Show Bathing Grains Jar

Remember all those months ago, I hatched a plan to create a pretty jar to house my precious FuturePrimitive Bathing Grains? A gift  of the coolest seaside potpourri kicked my fanny in gear. I bought a clear apothecary glass jar from Wilford & Lee for $19, a wooden scoop from Sabon in NYC for $1, tore a strip of muslin and tied it with some moss and a starfish from the gifted potpourri. I cut the label off one of the bags tucked it inside the jar and poured in all three bags I have hoarded. Ta da!

Have you fancied up anything recently? I like to do this with store bought pictures and sometimes clothes. And, well pretty much anything.

  1. Love it! So pretty.

Nope, I haven't done anything creative recently. Not since the Halloween jars. Although I do want to make some glitter trees.

    1. Thank you! About time I got around to it. Didn't want my grains to lose their scent.

I want to make those glitter trees too! They look so cute and easy.

  2. Gorgeous, Julie!!

Can't say I have fancied anything up lately. This past year, since moving into a new home, I have done many home improvements; I suppose that qualifies :)

    1. Thanks!

I would say home improvements qualify!!! Those are much more rewarding. Do you like crafting Lynda?

    2. I do, Julie! I used to sew and craft a lot. I've been dreaming of making a quilt freehand, with no instructions. My inspiration is from a quilt that was made by my great, great grandmother (who was born in 1861).

    3. Handsewn quilts are my favorite things to create. I have a ton of fabrics I would love to share with you if you ever decide to do a scrappy or patchwork quilt.

  3. OHMAGAWD! You are crafty!!! *wink* I wish I had the patience to put something like that together but I'm just lazy. *shrugs* And PS: I'm addicted to any kind of beauty and bath product. Seriously...it's slightly out of control! :)

    1. ThanksCristina! I am a bath and beauty junkie too. Thankfully we use the bath products up pretty fast around here so it doesn't have time to accumulate. What are some of your favorite brands or vendors?
