Rosegirls: March Pre-Order

Rosegirls' March Pre-Order had a scent line up that pushed all my fragrance buttons. I wanted to grab one of everything but contented myself with getting only what I felt I couldn't live without and then went on to split a pie with my blogger friend Jay over at The Candle Enthusiast. Here is the pricing break down: half pies $20, bags $10.50, muffins $7 and shipping is a flat rate of $10.

Alice in Slumberland is a blend of lavender, cotton candy frosting and honeydew. The sweet lavender that Rosegirls uses is nice. Neither herbal or medicinal, not sharply detergent, a little mellow and sweet. I brings to mind lavender Snuggle liquid fabric softener. It goes great with the juicy honeydew and softly sweet cotton candy frosting. I cut these slices into thirds and melted a piece in my bedroom warmer and it gave off a luscious honeydew and lavender filled throw at a strong level. Thrilled to have more to melt. Now... don't be getting all excited thinking I have melted any of the rest and can tell you about throw. Because I am legit hoarding the rest. At least for a little while. I want to pet my pretties.

Rosegirls Garden/Raspberry Sauce/Vanilla Bean Noel was a trio I blended in my very last custom order from Jenny a couple years ago. I eventually melted it up and was left without this deliciously gorgeous scent in my life. Sad face. But my friend Liz suggested it as Jenny was taking a poll for scents to include in the next pre-order and it made it! I ordered two sets of muffins and they smell just as lovely as I remembered. The tart and sweet raspberry sauce is the strongest with just a breath of soft blooming rose infused in the syrup that drapes over a cloud of vanilla cream. Yes.

Yes.

Cookie Dough Waffle Cone Wackadoodle is all about that cookie. Thick chewy vanilla bean cookies, crispy thin sugar cookies, royal icing frosted cookies and vanilla pizzelles arrayed in neat rows under glass cases in the local bakery. Walking into an old fashioned ice cream parlor where fresh pressed waffle cones sit like a neighborhood of tee-pees on the marble countertop. Baking cookies with mom in the kitchen and scraping out that sneaky lump of raw cookie dough before she sees you. All these aromatic memories and experiences wrapped up these cupcake liner etched wax muffins. A great vanilla bakery scent.

Cool Beans, an oldie but a goodie, takes sweet lavender and vanilla bean noel chunks and pours peppermint all over them. Well. It used to. For some reason I think I smell the vanilla bean noel as the overpour? Either way... it smells amazing as usual. Minty, creamy, and sweet. This will be a bedtime melt for sure.

Escape to Neverland is one I bought for sheer summer factor. It combines pineapple, orange dreamsicle, raspberry and vanilla ice cream. Normally, I shy away from any and all pineapple scents but I was craving this one for some reason. It has that creamy tart Dole Whip essence with added vibrancy from the oranges and raspberries. It smells like something I would want to drink frozen on the beach.

Jay picked up a bag in Fresh Cucumber and Pink Sugar so I asked if I could swap a chunk with her to sample it. Mmmm MMmm! I am glad I did. Cucumber tends to be too watery for me but that Pink Sugar really takes it to a new level. It is very strong and sweet and relaxing. I am glad Jenny didn't name it Pink Cucumber though...

That is my March pre-order. I skipped this most recent pre-order (though I KNOW I will be kicking myself for not getting at least the half pie in Peppermint Coconut Marshmallow- but guys... I am gearing up for a big giveaway soon... so it is all for you.) Did you order in March? Did you order at this last opening? What did you get? What Rosegirls scent are you missing in your life?

  1. Totally kicking myself for not going ahead with getting a half pie in Alice in Slumber land! Sounds Ahh-mazing! Buutttttt I did let myself order this past restock 3 bags and some Banana Fluff Puffs muffins so I am excited to get my hands into those! I went with her more summertime scents this go around so I would have some 'summer' scents.

  2. Just got mine and I'm literally cringing to think I could have missed it. Thanks for twisting my arm a smidgen;)
Escape to Neverland is gorgeous-the pineapple scared me away from ordering, darn it. On cold, the orange dreamsicle is the best I've sniffed. I thank you for the chunks:)
As I read your Cool Beans description I thought, could it be backwards? But the VBN has GOT to be the overpour, and it's so creamy-dreamy. Alice is a pretty springy combo, Shel sd he got a soapy note, but I can tell it's the type of lavender I like. Last, but not least-the pink cuke! (That's not dirty, is it?) I hope you got enough buddy, prob my fave. Did I thank you yet?

Your giveaway blogaversary bonanza is sure to be fun. Have a lovely night!

    1. Yay! Glad you are happy with it. It stinks when something is hyped and you are excited only to be let down upon arrival. Glad you like it. Escape to Neverland is a nice summery scent. Not too cloying or artificial.

Glad you thought so too. It used to be peppermint was the OP but I definitely get the VBN there. It is a great one. Shel has a good nose too. RG lavender is a little soapy/fabric softener to me. I like it but I prefer herbal if I can get it. Though to be honest I love lavender period. Even the medicinal steely icy lavender.

I only took one of the pink cuke cubes but I just wanted to try it. Thank you for letting me!! It is a bang on scent. Love it.

I am so excited about it. I think I am going a little overboard on it, but hey. Time to celebrate right?

  3. Gorgeous pics as always! Now I regret making such a small order, but I went bigger with this last round of preorders. So you're the genius behind the rose and raspberry blend! Well done! I wish I had bought a dozen more and it's my favorite RG blend so far.

The cookie dough is one I should've ordered but I went with the vanilla fluff puffs and figured they would be too similar. Cool Beans is another I should've grabbed.

    1. Thank you, Kris!! I loved the rose/raspberry/VBN combo so much but I know rose is not very popular and in fact I think Jenny doesn't even like pouring it. The only reason it made the cut was because I gifted one of my muffins from my custom to a friend, Liz, who is very popular in the groups and she pulled for it. SO thankful she did so I could get my hands on more. I miss customs sometimes. Ok. I miss them alot. All the time. LOL! I cannot wait to see what else you ordered and your thoughts on them. I am already regretting not getting anything from this last opening. Every darn time I try to be "good" someone is having some kind of sale. Ugh. The madness.

If you want to swap a vanilla fluff puff for a cookie dough I am cool with that. Just let me know. We can do a swap in general. <3

  4. RG: always amazing! Hey, do you recall what scent the pie slice was that you sent me? I didn't see a label but it smells yummy!

    1. Yes! Amazing for sure. I sent you a slice of Posh Pristine Peach. It is peach, watermelon and pomegranate (I think). You should probably search it on the blog if you want to check, or on RG FB page. Glad you like it!

  5. Woo hoo, what a haul! As always, your photos are fantastic - everything looks wonderful. I received my order on Friday, and I'm in complete agreement on the Cookie Dough Wackadoodle blend - quite the unexpected favourite there, as I'm generally not fond of the BAKERY!!! thing. It smells seriously edible, though. I grabbed two bags of Hotline Bling because it's one of my favorites, but lordy, she's strong! And wonder of wonders, my waxy friend, you have done the unthinkable with your Rosegirls Garden blend - made me, a pretty avowed floral-hater, like a floral blend. It's so great! I love Rosegirls' Raspberry Sauce, and it blends so well with whatever's going on in Rosegirls Garden. I love that you can smell all three scent notes individually, too - just depends on what you're focusing your sniffer on. :)

    1. I am so sorry. I have been an awful blogger. I was checking my old emails and saw this comment. Please forgive me.

Glad to hear you are loving the Wackadoodle blend too. I think we have similar bakery leanings. More vanilla and creamy and thick rather than dry and bready. I am having serious Game Over regrets. I had it in my cart and trimmed it out last minute. Ah well. Can't have it all can we?

YAY!!! I really love that Raspberry Sauce and rose and Vanilla Bean Noel blend. It smells so juicy and vibrant. It makes my heart feel happy to know you are liking it!!! My goal is to spread the rose love. Little bits at a time.

    2. I have one last little chunk of Game Over that I bought last year - I bought two bags, never cared for it and it's been a struggle to get through it ever since. I'm setting it aside for you so you can see (smell?) what you're not missing (all those notes sound fabulous, no, with the Raspberry Sauce and Satsuma, but to me the daiquiri note overpowers everything else.) I may be under-selling it, but I never cared for it, and I'll be happy to send on my little chunk for your sniffing purposes.

    3. Oh! Sorry to hear that! The raspberry is really the only one I am familiar with from RG. Though satsuma can be a crazy one from some vendors. I bet the daiquiri is a bit of a wold card too. DOn't go out of your way to send it but if a box ends up heading to the sub-tropics feel free to include it. Now I am curious. And I have some to send to you when our TBG arrives. I got some great RG blends today.
