Paul once said, "For what I am going, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate."

Ugh. I am so there. I usually use the summer to make resolutions. Not the beginning of the year so much, but the summer. When I have off. When I have more time. I did well with a lot of things I wanted to change for a while but I lost momentum once I went back to work. I got overwhelmed. I lost sight.

And the thing is... I feel so much better when I am doing the very things I am striving to do. So why is it so hard to maintain that momentum?

Some things that make me feel better but that I have not yet managed to make a routine in my life:

- Read my Bible everyday.
- Be active for 30 minutes a day.
- Eat more vegetables and no prepackaged junk food.
- Go outside for quiet time every day, barefoot and alone.

It's Monday, I am hitting the reset button and trying again. What are/were some of your "why do I do this thing I don't want to do" things? What motivates you to do the things you need to do?

    1. Thank you Sunnee. The North Carolina environment just begged to be petted and captured. I love the green haze of moss and living creatures that seem so abundant in the forests there. It makes me want to visit the Pacific Northwest really bad. One day. I can use all the cheering you'll throw my way. I did better about the eating. Now to get outside and walk then meditate on my spirit. I am thinking of you too dear one.

  2. I'm curious what you think of the Dessa's, like how strong they are for you.

I need to make some changes in my life too but haven't figured out yet just what needs to change. I know I need to manage my time more efficiently though. *sigh*

    1. I will be more than happy to post about the Dessa's! It will give me some much needed blog material since the hauls are slowed way down at the moment.

Figuring out what needs to change IS a big step. And managing my time is a big part of getting these things done too. I need to cut out more of the junk and add in the goody. I hope we can both get this shaped up!
