Glitterati Mystery Box 2018

My name was drawn for the Glitterati Mystery Box just in time for my blog's birthday. The Glitterati Mystery box sign up was about a year or so ago and my name came up a couple weeks ago. The Mystery Box consists of 12 random chunks that are leftovers from overpours from the custom order Janine is currently working on. The chunks are huge, about 2-3 ounces I would guess and are usually good for about 4 melts. The Mystery Box is $49 and come change to ship. I am featuring 9 of the 12 chunks here. Three of the chunks not shown are part of one of the giveaways while this lot of 9 where part of my Facebook giveaway. Janine, the owner and wax master at Glitterati, runs her company through her Facebook group. She runs flash sales every Sunday and if you are interested in trying her wax that would be your best bet until the new sign ups open for customs or Mystery Boxes.

Coconut Milk Lavender Toasted Marshmallow- The coconut milk is creamy and sweet and floats about with the lavender vanilla very nicely. The marshmallow adds a touch of sweetness. This is a relaxing scent that I am super bummed to part with but I know will be enjoyed by someone soon.

Coconut Sea Breeze- A watery scent of mellow tropical flowers and mild coconut milk. It has that aquatic vibe that cactus and sea salt has but much more smooth and rounded.

Snow Fairies Salty Sea Air- The bubblegum pinkness of the Lush dupe goes really well with the watery aquatic vibe of the fresh sea air. It smells like a carefree youth dancing on the shore. Her sun-bleached pony tail trailing the scent of her shampoo and snapping at a piece of pink bubble gum. Young and fresh.

Mac Green Apple Pomegranate Cotton Candy Floss- Sweet and sour and perfectly summery. If cotton candy came in a green apple and strawberry scent this would be it. Carnivals and fairs and sticky sweet lips.

Wildberry Crumb Cake- I pick up that strong Wildberry Mousse aroma first and foremost. The crumb cake maybe adds a touch of vanilla sweetness. I do wish Wildberry Mousse and I got along better.

Peeps Glazed Donut Mac Apple- What a fun blend! It mostly smells like sweet candied apples and sugary confections. Not necessarily a bakery confection but more like candies and treats and cotton candy.

Tropical Pistachio- Vibrant, electric cherry almond and a touch of peachy mango tartness. It is a great, strong scent.

Caramel Toasted Mallow Zucchini- Oddly enough, this is probably my favorite out of the bunch and I normally don't care for zucchini blends. Janine has some magic working here. It is a super creamy and dense version of zucchini bread that has almost a caramel spice cake vibe to it. But not heavy on the spice at all... it is just a faint impression that adds warmth and depth to it. Yum.

Mango Papaya Toasted Coconut Cookies- Tart and juicy tropical fruits dominate this blend. The coconut cookies lend a softness to the edges but that mango and papaya are king and queen.

These were a lot of fun to sniff but now they are headed to their forever homes. I hope I can bring home some more Glitterati very soon. I miss it already.

What is your unicorn wax? What blends would you make if your name came up on a Glitterati list?

  1. Fabulous! I actually didn’t get any of these blends. I’m surprised at the amount of variety Janine produces since we got ours fairly close together. Lovely scents; the first two make me swoon.😍

    1. What?! That is kinda crazy! She really does crank out those blends. She is a one woman show but she makes wax like she is 10 women. I am always blown away by it. Did you post your scents? Are you taking a blogging break or is it for good?

    2. I mostly share everything to Instagram now. I was having a lot of technical issues with Blogger and the last time I checked my link didn’t work.😒 If I start blogging again in the future I’ll let you know.

    3. Oh no that stinks :-( I miss your blogging. There are glitches for sure from time to time. The latest glitch for me is not getting email notifications when comments are published. That irks me. So I have to check in and see.

  3. How generous of you! Not sure I'd have the gumption to part with some of those blends (that pomegranate cotton candy one sounds scrumptious.) Such a lovely, lovely gift for your giveway. I hope you had a wonderful blogiversary (and that it went a bit smoother this time - people actually did claim their awesome gifts this time, right?!)

    1. Thanks! It was a bit smoother. I did have to draw a second person for the Glitterati box as the original winner didn't give me her info but it happens. I hope next year I will have my stuff more together and can do a nice big one for the 5th blogiversary. <3
