Candles From The Keeping Room: May Order

The last Candles From The Keeping Room haul for at least 3 or 4 months arrived recently. Carol will be taking the summer off to visit family and do a bit of traveling and my Paypal is weeping with joy. I decided I needed to focus on getting some fall/winter scents and some others that caught my eye. In my extreme haste I made a few flubs and added the wrong items. That tends to happen to me with the frenzy and scrolling scent lists. But mixing things up a bit never hurt anyone.

Plumberry Spice- Excellent strong, dark plum and spices and evergreen like notes. Super strong and great for Christmas.

Mistletoe & Ivy- A smoother version of evergreen with less pine resin and more softness.

Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy- Repurchase because it is Christmas time in a tart for me. Spices, Christmas trees and sweetness all rolled into one.

Rustic Lodge- A nice dose of apples and a touch a caramel and cider. There is spice but it is minimal. This is more of a soft caramel covered green apple scent. Very nice and smooth.

Autumn Lodge- It smells like a cigar store to me. In the best possible way. Humidor. Fresh tobacco leaves. And proper British parlors where Victorian men "do business."

Old Colonial Hearth- Smokey fireside hearth, rich wood and glowing embers. This is a real fireside scent.

Cinnamon Cider- Sweet apple cider with a cinnamon stick. Excited to melt this come fall!

Baked Apple- Repurchase because it is one of my favorite apple scents.

Country Bake Shop- Sweet doughy cakes and a smidgen of cornbread.

Caramel Perfect Autumn- This is one that will fool you. On cold it has a semi generic sweet scent but when warmed it is divine. All musky sweet caramel and pure delicious scent that wafts out of that bowl. Deb gifted me a tart in this a while back and I just fell head over heels.

Cardamom Spiced Rum Cake- Wow. This one is great. Spiced and cakey but with a tea and rum note. I can't wait to melt this one.

Caramel Pizzelle- Yummy caramel cookies. Lots of vanilla frosting.

Serendipity Noel- Repurchase. The vanilla Noel adds a extra coconut illusion to the serendipity.

Tropical Cookie- Smells like serendipity and cookies to me!

Bergamot Rosewood- A perfumed floral that has a slight fruity sweetness. Nice for a cleaning day or to melt in the bedroom, though it was a touch too light for me when melted.

Honey Patchouli- Patchouli sweetened with honey. Strong, baby. This is going to be intense and I will love it.

Pink Sugar- Strong clear Pink Sugar dupe. Here are the notes: bergamot, orange, fig leaves, lily of the valley, licorice blossoms, red fruits, caramel, vanilla, woods, and musk. It boils down to smell like vanilla musk cotton candy to me.

Free Samples:

Strawberry Marshmallow, Strawberry Noel (amazing), Pink Sugared Strawberry (heavy on the PS, not much berry), Rosemary Grapefruit Votivo Type (clean and pretty).

Top Row:
Watermelon and Sweet Apricot (love), Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy, Passion Fruit Limeade, Blissful Blackberry Type.

Bottom Row:
Violets and Birch (pretty), Tokyo Nights (nice- amber and plum combo), Blueberry Funnel Cake (not for me).

Honeydew Melon & Marshmallow Parfait (my favorite of the samples), Rain Forest Sugarcane Type (high end shaving cream or candle), Tropical Element, Lime Spritzer  (green jello).

That was my CFTKR bonanza and I am quite happy with my order. Did you order from either of her last two May openings? Have you tried any of these scents?

  1. Those fall and winter scents have me smiling. Kinda sucks that my fall/winter stash box is already overflowing, because that will limit how many new ones I buy. Well, ha, it *should* limit me but we'll see how that goes.

Our weather slipped back to cold (low 40s) yesterday and that, along with the realization that we're almost in June which means we're almost in July which means we're almost in August which means fall scents can start coming out.........that had me super excited for a little bit yesterday. LOL

    1. I am giddy thinking about melting fall and winter stuff too! There is always room for fall scents ;-)

I have been seeing a lot of crazy weather and snowing! It is almost June! What is going on?! Is this normal? The weather here is pretty consistent, if dry. I start melting fall in mid-August, so only three more months! I better get working on my summer beachy and fruity scents!

    1. I am SO EXCITED about fall melting this year! I am amassing quite a nice fall basket. Cinnamon Cider and Baked Apple are so ding dang good. Carol's serendipity really is one of my favorites. She does a lot of sweet candy and creamy blends with it. Yum! Thank you so much Lauren!
